Filing income taxes and trying to spend some money

Yippee! I got my 2007 taxes completed and efiled. It cost a bit to efile but I get the money directly deposited to my checking account in less than a week. I don’t know why I get so excited about receiving a tax refund when it is my money to begin with.

Speaking of money….. I have been looking for good speakers with a travel case for my iPOD. I bought a iHome25 a couple of weeks ago. I should have realized that for $29 a docking station, travel alarm clock with a remote would not have been of high quality. It played very well the first day. Then the next day it would just shut off after about 1 minute. I keep restarting and it kept shutting off. So yesterday I exchanged it for a new one. The 2nd one had such low volume that I am going to return it and get my money back. I went to Best Buy and they didn’t have any travel speakers with a case in stock. I looked at the Apple iPOD store and found one that had a remote and a hard travel case with room to store the iPOD itself. I read the reviews and about ½ of them said that the pin connectors were not very strong and broke within less than a year. So I am back to square one trying to find portable speakers with some kind of protective carrying case. I want to make this purchase before my next trip to Isla in April. I would love to be able to move about my room without the earbuds constantly in my ears. I could actually listen to music while I apply sunscreen in the mornings.

This is similar to the one that I am returning. This is a newer model with more features. I really don’t need the alarm clock since I have several travel clocks.

This is the one I was considering until I read a bunch of the reviews.
