Isla Mujeres – Changes, then vs. now

I have been traveling to Isla Mujeres since 1993 and have seen many changes. I put together this pictorial of some of the changes. The major changes are of course all of the new developments and homes being built on the island. These are photos of landmarks and other well known island photo opps.

This first photo I had to borrow from Isla Gringo because I couldn’t find a good old one of my own.

What hasn’t changed are the friendly people, the beautiful water, the good eats and my enjoyment of visiting Isla over the years. I do not have too many photos of myself since I am usually behind the camera but here are a few of me enjoying Isla.
