Oh oh, two posts in one day. Last night I just happened to turn on TV to the Discovery Channel and catch Discovery Atlas when they were showing the cliff divers in Acapulco. The spot light here was a man known as the “Knife” who has been cliff diving for 25 years. He is a second generation cliff diver whose father started diving in 1936. The Knife’s daughter at 13, the youngest and only female last December graduated up to a 72 foot dive on the eve of the celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe. They said that the Virgin would watch over and protect her. Sorry for the language but watching this scared the holy shit out of me.
Next they moved on to footage of Chitzen Itza and Tulum, the Mayan calendar and planting then on to Patzcuaro. Very intertesting show! Watch it if you can.
