I am going to the local Milwaukie Farmer’s Market today. This market is held every Sunday beginning the 2nd Sunday in May through the last Sunday in October. This farmers market started maybe ten years ago with just a few vendors. Today the market takes up an entire parking lot block. Depending on the month there are a variety of locally grown fruits and vegetables to purchase. There are a few booths that sell locally made soaps, cheeses and sausages. There are local artists and craft person selling their arts and crafts and jewelry. I usually buy something to eat like an omelet or a tamale and sit and enjoy the live music.
I believe in supporting local businesses and the Farmer’s Market is a great way to do that.
I took my camera with me a couple of years ago so I could take photos of the colorful market.

Your photos are always so beautiful!! I have to learn to start carrying my camera with and take the time to stop and take more pictures.
Thanks Brenda. I had taken my camera with the intent of taking photos since everything was so colorful at the market.
