Maui Sunsets

I love to take photos of sunsets. No two sunsets are ever the same no matter where they are viewed. I have photos of sunsets on Maui, Kauai, Puerto Vallarta, La Paz, the Oregon coast and a ton of Isla Mujeres sunsets. My daughter and niece told me I never need to take another photo of a sunset. I just can’t pass up a good sunset photo.

Softly the evening came. The sun from the western horizon Like a magician extended his golden want o’er the landscape; Trinkling vapors arose

; and sky and water and forest Seemed all on fire at the touch, and melted and mingled together. Author: Henry Wadsworth LongfellowSource: Evangeline (pt. II, sec. II)

After a day of cloud and wind and rain Sometimes the setting sun breaks out again, And touching all the darksome woods with light, Smiles on the fields until they laugh and sing, Then like a ruby from the horizon’s ring, Drops down into the night. 1. I love sunset photos! I tend to take more sunrise, but try to get in one or two sets…I have an aunt (she's 95) and we always used to laugh when she came home from vacation & half her photos were sunsets..

  2. The Haleakala sunset was the most spectacular I had ever seen. It was like being in an airplane looking down from above the clouds. In the far distance you can see the ocean and the coast line. It was a once in a life time event as I will never ride on that road again. Denise drove but as a passenger I started to get carsick both going up and coming down. That was a first for me.

  3. Not only do you like to take pics of sunsets, you do it well! Beautiful.

  4. Thanks for the compliment Wayne. It’s easy to take god photos of sunsets, all I do is point and shoot, nature does the rest for me.
