I am home after two fabulous weeks on Isla Mujeres. The weather was perfect. There was rain early one morning for about 30 minutes then again one afternoon for a couple of hours. That day I was with friends out at Villa Vera and we hunkered down around the bar and had a couple of drinks waiting for the rain to stop.
Today was a lazy day after a long travel day yesterday. I woke yesterday morning around 5:00 AM Isla time or 3:00 AM Portland time. I got home around 10:00 PM but was wired and did not go to bed until 1:00AM. So I took it real easy, getting back into real life today. I had my usually return from vacation things to do, like laundry and grocery shopping. I got my photos uploaded to Webshots. I will post a trip report with some photos later this week. Right now I am enjoying a glass of wine and I am about ready to eat the pizza I had delivered.

Funny how one of my routines when heading back to Canada is to order pizza late at night. I order it online and it is easy because I can just click ‘order my last order’ – don’t even have to think about it and it’s done.

glad you had such a great time! you were on isla exactly the same amount of time as i was in miami and i also spent the night before i left in a hotel by the airport-as they say, great minds think alike 😉 yours sounded much more luxurious. mine was a cheapy-but it has a great japanese restaurant and a denny’s right next door. i took half my breakfast to eat on the flight-i refuse to pay $5.00 for a sandwich that does not look very appetizing. anyway, i had a wonderful time in miami and in the keys visiting family, friends and eating great cuban food. i walked a lot and only gained 4 lbs. which was a real surprise-thought i’d gained a lot more.
