I love the Milwaukie Farmer’s Market. Yesterday I bought some local cherries, Oregonzola cheese from Rogue Creamery, smoked almonds from Carol’s Nuts & Candies and fresh local Chinook Salmon. The man selling the fish thanks every customer for supporting local Oregon fisherman. Supporting local businesses is what the farmer’s markets are all about.

I sometimes go to the Beaverton Farmers’ Market but it is SO packed you have to steel yourself from the throng to stop long enough to actually purchase stuff. I don’t go enough to get my game face, I guess. Is Milwaukie’s that busy?
THe Milwaukie Farmers Market can be jam packed too. I usually am there just after opening so it’s not too bad then. Once when I got there later I wanted to buy some produce but there were about 15 in people in line so I said forget it.
